The benefits of mobile hand washing facilities demonstrated at TEAL

The importance of hand washing – and being able to undertake it at the point of need – were recently demonstrated to an influential group at TEAL’s main facility in Chelmsley Wood in Birmingham.

Guests included:-

  • Greg Clark: Member of Parliament for Tunbridge Wells and Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.
  • Dame Caroline Spelman: Member of Parliament for Meriden.
  • Andy Street – Mayor of the West Midlands.

Mr. Street, during his visit to TEAL, demonstrated his enthusiasm for what he was seeing, tweeting

Introduction to the new MediWash

The group were introduced to TEAL’s new flagship medical hand wash unit the Hygienius MediWash (above) on which the synchronised display takes users through the automatic wash programme which is designed to match the World Health Organization Guidelines “Clean hands protect against infection”.

TEAL Task Force

An introduction to the “Task Force” was included by MD Manty Stanley (above left) during the visit, in which Dame Caroline Spelman MP, Andy Street and Greg Clark MP, learned of TEAL’s fast response service to deliver portable high quality hot water hand washing facilities to medical facilities in the UK on a next working day basis.

Portable hand wash units designed and produced on site by TEAL

TEAL have specialised in designing and developing mobile and portable hot water sinks and basins since 1959 by providing exactly the right facilities where mains fresh water and drainage are non-existent.

Their new range of innovative portable hand wash units are currently being produced for a number of sectors, including medical and healthcare, food preparation, motor vehicles and preschool and nursery.
