NCASS states “Alcohol gels are not acceptable on their own but can be used in addition to a hand washing system.”
The maximum penalty for allowing a food poisoning outbreak to occur is two years in prison along with an unlimited fine, says the article.
A Food Hygiene Rating score is also unobtainable without hand washing facilities advises NCASS. It also helps the viability of your business – in short you are more likely to increase the number of customers that you attract it says.
