The new TEAL Hygienius MediWash will be available to try for the first time in Edinburgh at the Federation of Infection Societies (FIS) Annual Conference and the 10th Healthcare Infection Society (HIS) International Conference 2016, which runs from November 6th – 8th.

Designed for use at the point of need, the robust and highly portable hand wash station is designed for use in hospital environments and is intended to be used by both medical staff and the general public.

Every MediWash comes complete with on-screen video hand washing instructions, which is timed to run with the hand washing cycle of the unit. This ensure that everyone using the Mediwash will have an effective and complete hand wash – as laid down on the National Health Service Guidelines “Hand-washing technique with soap and water”.
FIS/HIS 2016 – what you can expect to see
According to Dr Tim Boswell on the event website, there will be a great deal of interest at the event.
“In addition to the popular eponymous lectures, there will be four streams across a wide variety of topics including healthcare infection control, new diagnostics, emerging infectious diseases and new therapeutics. As in previous years, an application has been made to the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) and the Royal College of Pathologists, UK for CME accreditation.”
