There is no substitute for a hot running water hand wash.
The most pleasant and effective method of ensuring hand hygiene is with the use of hot running water and soap. The use of 'wet-wipes' or alcholic rubs are only half the answer, so says a recent study from the University of North Carolina.
The British Medical Association, in their recent guide lines, are heavily in favour of hot water washing with liquid soap as the best method to achieve hygienically clean hands.
Cement based products
Anyone who uses cement (or anything containing cement, such as mortar, plaster and concrete) or is responsible for managing its use, should be aware that it presents a hazard to health.
If skin contact cannot be eliminated then control measures must be applied.
This means:- washing the skin with warm water and soap then drying thoroughly afterwards.
Washing bowls should be large enough to wash the forearms and have running warm water.
The above is taken from the HSE Information Sheet on cement No.26 (revision 2).
