Hot water hand washing for building site workforces

Announcing the launch of the BIG SINK portable hot water hand washing unit from Teal.

The launch of the Big Sink® by TEAL means workers can now clean their hands and arms on site without the costs associated with installing fixed plumbing to provide mandatory washing facilities. See it on Stand 1P in the Blue Pavilion at SED (12th-14th May 2009).

With the hazards to health associated with using cement based products it is essential that workers are provided with running hot water to clean not just their hands but arms as well.

The Big Sink® delivers an automatic 30 second wash at the nudge of a button. This gives users enough time to soap and scrub hands and arms thoroughly and rinse away dirt and grime using the low pressure spray which swivels for maximum coverage.

Completely portable and free standing, the Big Sink® can be used at a convenient location close to where it is needed and is operational as soon as it is plugged in to a 13amp socket.

The lightweight unit is easy to move and pack with a hinged lid and two separate 25 litre containers for fresh and waste water – enough for 50 or more washes.

The unique low pressure spray head means the Big Sink® provides an excellent wash with a fraction of the water conventional taps and sink use. This not only saves a valuable natural resource but also means there is a huge saving in the amount of energy needed to heat water to the required temperature.
