Tealtainer for Hygienius hot water hand wash sink basinThe TEALtainer™ Twin Bag is available to purchase separately so that you can keep a number ready to swap into your existing Hygienius® units, thus minimising disruption and time offline.

The TEALtainer™ Twin Bag is located in the base of the Hygienius™ and is a self contained carrying vessel for both the fresh and waste water each separately and hygienically secured.

It contains 2 - 10 litre capacity heavy duty plastic bags with separate lids. The WHITE sealed lid is complete with fresh water dip tube and connector whilst the RED open one sits beneath the waste water outlet from the bowl inside the Hygienius®.

Once the 10 litres of fresh water has been used up then the waste bag will be full. The waste water can then be emptied into a suitable foul water drain and the bag for fresh water can be replenished.

Each ten second wash uses approximately 200 ml of water so that the TEALtainer™ Twin Bag provides approximately 50 ten second hot washes.

How many hand washes will the TEALtainer™ Twin BAG provide before refilling is necessary?

Each ten second wash uses approximately 200 ml of water so that the TEALtainer™ Twin Bag provides approximately 50 ten second hot washes.

How do I disinfect my TEALtainer?

There is a simple routine developed with the help of the Hospital Infection Research Laboratory at, City Hospital, Dudley Road, Birmingham B18 7QH.

It involves the emptying of the TEALtainer and refilling the fresh water bag with 500ppm chloride solution. By means of the purge button located on the underside of the power box behind the lift up display panel, the disinfectant solution should be run through the water system fo a period of 5 minutes. The TEALtainer can then be emptied and fresh water used to flush out any remaing disinfectant.

It is suggested that in Medical situations that this procedure is carried out every other day.
